Every few months, I send a fresh new pack of handmade cards to my best friend. It means so much to me that she requests them, and even more that she sends them all over the country to friends for various occasions. Some cards I finish off completely with specific sentiments. But I also make her a batch of sentiments with double sided tape so she can add it to whichever card she thinks is best.
